Welcome
Hello, there!
Welcome to My Blog
Hi there, and welcome. My name is Zora Annamaria, and in the photo next to me is my bestest of friends, Rosy Bear. I currently reside on beautiful Anna Maria Island (and yes, my middle name really is Annamaria 🙂 I’ve lived here for the past decade and am glad to have made this beautiful part of Florida my home. I’m originally from Budapest, Hungary and have also lived all over the U.S. growing up.
For the past decade, I have helped small business grow with my business, Zora Creative (now Zora Annamaria LLC). I’m a creative soul who never stops learning. In addition to having run my own small business, I’m also a nutritionist, educator, and creative spirit who views life & business through the lens of creativity. I’m a firm believer in education and self-improvement which is why I have experience in a broad variety of niches, dually allowing me to understand different types of businesses and their unique needs.
Like many of you, I have a multifaceted background spanning a variety of passions, skills, and experiences. I owned a web design business for nearly a decade while also earning my masters in Nutrition and Functional Medicine. Additionally, my heart has always been drawn to music as a means to combine healing through creativity & self-expression. I’ve been fortunate to have recorded and produced a full-length album, in addition to my experiences of performing live in a variety of venues. My years of wearing many hats, in combination with challenging and varied life experiences, all shaped me into who I am today.
During my time at Zora Creative, we were a two-member partnership. That meant we needed to learn the ins and outs of everything, from search engine optimization to photography to responsive web design to sales-driven copy and marketing. With the development of my latest project, Diaphanaeity’s Garden, I integrated my passions in solopreneurship, branding, and creative healing into a cohesive whole—teaching & inspiring creatives how to build a purposeful business from home. During my own process of rebranding, I realized I wanted my new brand to reflect who I am since I am now a one-woman business. Overall, my new business is one that focuses on heart-centric practices such as authenticity and building trust. My multifaceted background has equipped me with a wide range of skills and technical knowhow suited for collaboration with any business niche. I am devoted to making my clients happy and would love the opportunity to serve your business.
It is my hope that my creative services, holistic business course, and website designs can help you in your process of self-discovery & brand development so you can launch your passion-filled business with success and truly connect with your audience.
Why I Studied Functional Nutrition
Functional medicine isn’t simply lifestyle-based medicine, but a systems-oriented, science-based approach that involves taking a patient’s biochemistry, physiology, genetics, and environmental exposures into account when looking for the cause of a specific medical issue or set of symptoms. By shifting the traditional disease-centered focus of medical practice to a more patient-centered, holistic approach; practitioners are trained to improve long-term health and mitigate complex, chronic disease.
As with many functional practitioners, my interest in functional diagnostics was sparked by personal health challenges. My functional medicine physician really helped me uncover the root causes of symptoms I was experiencing through more advanced lab testing. Throughout this process, I became interested in natural health and decided to pursue certifications in functional medicine health coaching (through FMCA) as well as my M.S. in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine through University of Western States. I then did my internship and became a Certified Nutrition Specialist.
Life on Anna Maria Island
Thankfully, we are embarking on a revolutionary shift in the current medical paradigm. As a Health Coach and Certified Nutrition Specialist, I’m thrilled to be a part of this growing movement in which we transition from a broken system which merely treats symptoms and views health as the absence of disease, to a system which addresses the root cause of bodily dysfunction and enables people to flourish.
Moving to Anna Maria Island (from Cleveland, OH) was definitely the best decision I ever made for my well-being. As functional medicine teaches us, our wellness is not just about balanced nutrition and exercise, but also healthy management of sleep, stress, our relationships, life purpose, and more. For me, having been able to pursue both my analytical and creative sides, and even more importantly, experiencing all the beauty and outdoor activities that FL living has to offer, has brought a lot of happiness to my life. In my spare time, you can find me soaking up the sun, bicycling with Rosy, playing beach volleyball with friends, jet skiing with my boyfriend, or watching the beautiful sunset on Anna Maria Island.
