Protein Smoothie
Packed with vital antioxidants and fiber, this super berry protein smoothie can kick-start your day or may double as a mid-day snack. If using kefir, you’ll get some beneficial probiotics in there as well. Flaxseeds contain alpha lipoic acid and fiber, while maca root powder supports reproductive health and may give you a natural boost in energy!
Ingredients
½ cup of frozen or fresh organic strawberries
½ cup of frozen or fresh organic blueberries
1 cup of coconut / almond milk or kefir, unsweetened
1 scoop grass-fed whey or vegan protein powder (flavor of choice)
1 tbsp. ground organic flaxseed
1 tbsp. raw organic maca powder
Directions
Blend all ingredients in your mixer (in my case, I use a Ninja), add a few ice cubes if you’d like, and enjoy!
